Documentation of Development Seminars, Workshops, & Extra Curricular Activities

I have more than 5 years of experience in accounting & finance, and business administration. My aspiration is to become an Accounting professional in the Canadian market. However, it required knowledge, skills, and competencies improvement. Focusing on my personal and professional development, I have participated in the following Workshops, Seminars, and extracurricular activities.

Career Development Workshop at University: I participated in this workshop during my last semester break to gain insight into Canadian-style resume updates, effective cover letter writing, and skill development areas to achieve my career goal.

  • Workshop to meet career development advisors – Meeting career advisors and coaches helped me to plan my career with self-awareness.
  • Canadian-style resume writing workshop – This helped me to articulate clearly why I am the right person for the job.
  • Effective cover letter writing workshop – Learned to structure a professional cover letter.
  • Promote yourself in 30 sec. workshop – Learned how to impress myself in 30 sec. introducing myself and getting the interest of the employer.

Leadership Development Activities: I participated in these activities while I was in the third semester of my MBA. This helps to identify my strengths, weaknesses, and development potential. Those activities can be identified as follows.

  • “Journey Map Activity” to learn from the past
  • “Dashboard Activity” to start where I am
  • “Building Your Compass Activity” to understand my life & work view
  • “Good Time Journal Activity” to find my way for current skills development and to reach my future goal
  • “Get Unstuck Mind Map Activity” to make decisions fast and using my critical thinking
  • “Odyssey Life Design Activity” to plan for 5 years under the work, love, health, and play aspects
